Started in 2001, Bixby Energy Systems was founded by Robert Walker. Previously Robert made his money from Select Comfort Corporation, upon retiring from that company in started looking for alternative energy solutions for the future, thats when he began Bixby Corn stoves.
Bixby research paid off and resulted in their first stove called the Maxfire in 2004 which was capable of burning dry shelled corn with an high efficency of over 99%. Since then they have developed more energy solutions and in 2007, introducing a dynamic new vertical axis wind system superior to today’s windmill type systems and a revolutionary gasification system that can operate using waste materials and coal.
